Strange Facts = Great Headcanon~

I've been wanting to do this list for a while, but the only problem is that my computer has become so old that I can't even type up a journal entry unless I use someone else's computer.  So for now, here's a fun list of facts I found online that turned into the following headcanons.

• According to a recent poll done in 2012, yes Japan and South Korea are among the top of the list, but the number one suicidal country in the world is actually Lithuania.

            Yeah, take that what you will.  Not only that, but notice that most of the countries on this list were from the Soviet Union.

• You know how Canada had once moved America to tears one time by talking him down for three hours?

            I always wondered if he could do that to other countries if he had the chance.  Hence, I believe that he could move anyone to tears         just by talking.  All you crazy people might want to compare him to a young man I like to call Johan.

• The Philippines apparently has an island inside of a lake inside of an island inside of a lake inside of the main island.

            They're the only ones that are able to use an inception joke.  No exception.

• Most polls suggest that the Scandinavian countries are the happiest countries in the world.

            Self-explanitory.

• I can't find the link to the page to save my life, a recent poll is saying that the Philippines think highly of America with 85% as of 2013.  Israel is next at 83%

            If the Philippines ends up being female, she could be a valid hetero option for America.  I can also see that the Philippines can see America the same way America sees England (hence all the gay options and whatnot).

• There are a lot of countries out there that legalized same-sex marriage.

            Hence, any of these nations actually being gay in the anime have been valid.  Yeah, that's right.  USUK is one step closer to being official.  Too bad Italy's not on this list or we would have gone NUTS.  Germany's on it, though

• Russia had passed a law that basically censored homosexuality to children.  Also, they basically dehumanized anyone in the LBGTQ community.  The law pass unanimously.  If you don't believe that, then you should know that only 12% of Russians actually accept homosexuals as equal.

            No matter how many ways you slice it, I really do not see Russia being even REMOTELY gay.  You can make more assumptions from this list here.  You're going to be very surprised about Seychelles

• This is old news to actual Filipinos, but since I'm American, it's fun to see the history of my homeland.  A while ago (not that long ago), the Philippines was under a dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos, which was a little horrible since they had been raised democratically by America.  The people's favorite, Ninoy Aquino, went into exile for 11 years, but returned to try and return democracy back to his homeland, where he was assassinated.  The revolution that happened afterward (People Power Revolution) overthrew the dictatorship and restored democracy to the homeland.  Historians say that this revolution inspired all nonviolent revolutions after February 1986.

            Let me tell you just how awesome this is in terms of headcanon.  Remember, I said that this revolution supposedly inspired all nonviolent revolutions after February 1986.  The Soviet Union was still here, albiet somewhat crumbling.  Let me just list you the odd "coincidences" that happened after 1986.

• In 1990, East Germany was starting to rebel against their Soviet Union rulers.  The Berlin Wall fell after that.
• Tiananmen Square Protests?  1989.
• Latvia created the first openly anti-Soviet group in July 1986, named Helsinki-86.  On December 26, 1986, over 300 Latvian youths started chanting for change.  The Baltics start leading the chant of protests afterward.
